Tech Park Welcomes New Communications and Programming Director

The West Virginia Regional Technology Park is proud to welcome Tammy Hinojos as our new Communications and Programming Director.

Tammy brings more than two decades of experience in strategic communications, marketing, and engagement. A natural storyteller at heart, she believes meaningful leadership is measured not by titles, but by the positive impact it creates. That philosophy will guide her efforts as she works to amplify the stories, innovations, and partnerships that define the Tech Park community.

Originally from Texas, Tammy relocated to West Virginia in 2024 and quickly embraced the opportunity to contribute to the state’s vibrant innovation ecosystem. Her appreciation for community-building and collaboration aligns seamlessly with the Tech Park’s mission to foster research, entrepreneurship, and economic development across the Mountain State.

Tammy will lead communications strategy and oversee programming designed to strengthen connections across the Park and beyond. From highlighting the groundbreaking work of our tenant companies to creating events that bring together founders, industry leaders, researchers, and partners, she is focused on cultivating engagement that is both purposeful and impactful.

Tammy is especially excited to join the organization at a milestone moment. “It’s an incredible time to step into this role as the Tech Park celebrates its 15th anniversary this year,” she said. “There’s a powerful story here — one of sustained growth, resilience, and innovation. I can’t wait to help tell that story — past, present, and future — and highlight the people and partnerships who continue to move it forward.”

Outside of her professional work, Tammy enjoys college football, great Mexican food, and cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. She also loves to travel—especially to Australia, where much of her extended family resides.

As a premier center for research, innovation, and technology-based economic growth, the West Virginia Regional Technology Park continues to evolve and expand its reach. With Tammy leading communications, we are excited to elevate our voice, deepen our connections, and share the powerful work happening right here in West Virginia.
